Who am I?
My name is Kris. I’m 29 years old, formerly of the Great White North, and currently living on a tiny rock in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. Before I moved here, I couldn’t even find it on a map. True story.
I live with my love of six years and a 30 year-old tortoise named George who lives in our backyard. I’m an office worker by day, but I spend my evenings and weekends doing any combination of the following: drinking tea, wearing slippers, spending time with girlfriends, taking photos of my food, wistfully building travel itineraries for trips to far off places, missing Canada, reading, enjoying a love affair with my new BlendTec, listening to music, living room yoga sessions, cruising around on my scooter and enjoying this time of my life as much as possible.
I am passionate about photography, writing, food and learning as much about health and nutrition as I can.
Why did I start this blog?
2009 was a very difficult year for my man and I. We had a number of personal crises that we had to work through, which was much more difficult with us being so far away from home, our families and our closest friends. Neither of us were sad to say goodbye to what turned out to be a truly craptastic year. So, I’ve committed to making 2010 my best year yet and started this blog to document this time of my life. A big part of this committment involves reaching the best state of health possible, something that has been inspired in part by the many wonderful food and health bloggers who are a part of my daily reading routine. Their honesty, openness and willingness to share their lives and experiences with the world have inspired me to do the same.
Thanks for stopping by!

Hi,
Randomly stumbled on your blog and enjoying it so far!
29 is a strange old age to be isn’t it?
I guess we’re all trying to achieve before the big 3-0! (I’m 29 too!)
