I’m big on goal-setting. It’s my follow-through of said goal-setting that seems to be less than stellar, so I’m hoping that posting my 2010 goals and resolutions here, for all to see, will help to keep me on track.
Diet/Food Goals
- Make all of our weekday meals – breakfasts, lunches and dinners. This will not only save us money, time and stress, but will prevent us from making last-minute, not-so-healthy choices.
- Drink 2L + of H2O each day.
- Try to eat local fish at least once each week.
- Eat breakfast every day. This kind of goes with the first one.
- Make 2 new recipes every week. I want to cook my way through my cookbook collection!
- Avoid white sugar.
- Avoid white flour.
- Avoid processed foods.
- Take my multivitamin every day.
- Eat my greens. The BlendTec is a big help with this one.
- Cook only with coconut oil and olive oil.
Fitness Goals
- Yoga 2-3 times each week, either via class or DVD.
- Cardio 2-3 times each week – 30 Day Shred, at the track or in the gym.
- Walking in the evenings after dinner with Carlos.
- Stretching every day.
Professional Goals
- Complete at least two more courses towards my Masters. This is dependant on budget, because they are paid for by the company I work for, so they dictate how much they can pay for each year. I’m asking for three, but hoping for two!
Creative Goals
- Do something creative every day – drawing, making jewelry, writing…does blogging count? I think so.
- Learn my camera, inside and out. Keep booking mini photoshoots with friends for the experience.
- Journal.
I really like the idea of your blog. My fave resolutions are:
Avoid white sugar.
Avoid white flour.
Avoid processed foods.
Excellent goals!! So important. Have you read “In Defense of Food” by Michael Pollan? Its an amazing book right along these lines. These are my goals as well. Working toward organic, natural and REAL food only!
Enjoy your Sunday!

I love your resolutions! They’re all working toward a happier, healthier lifestyle and (in my opinon) all attainable!
And yes, blogging counts as something creative.
These are great resolutions. I have a lot of the same food ones (we’ll ignore the late-night pizza that I had yesterday. Oops)
